Pumpkin Spice Flavored Spam? Seriously, Hormel?

It’s real, it’s delicious and it’s for your enjoyment. Look for limited edition SPAM® Pumpkin Spice 2-packs coming Sept. 23rd to SPAM.com and Walmart.com. Eat one, save one!

That’s what Hormel’s Website says about this new, limited-edition product they are introducing at the end of this month.

Seriously???

I really detest the original…but I DO love me some pumpkin spice, lol!

Egads! Might I actually have to try this?

Ummm…no. I really can’t even stomach the idea!!! 😉

But I will admit that I think it sounds better than the original. Which, to me, equates to WAY over-salted, junk meat-bi-product leftovers (in World of Warcraft terms…this is what the creators had in mind when they came up with the term Mystery Meat, lol!)

That’s it. Spam is Mystery Meat.

And I don’t eat that stuff.

I don’t eat “Sweet Breads”, either. By the way…who came up with that name for brains in Jello? I mean, really. That is just a sick, sick joke, in my opinion. Because…I actually LOVE sweet-bread. You know, like…zucchini bread, banana bread, PUMPKIN SPICE bread, for heaven’s sake! LOL! So, I think this was just some jerk trying to get kids to eat the animal scraps. Who do they think they’re kidding, anyway?

A-hem. I digress!

So, the Pumpkin Spice Spam.

I had to at least search on the nutritional facts, for those who might actually be interested in trying the stuff.

According to their website, Hormel provides the following product details:

Ingredients:  Pork with Ham, Sugar, Water, Salt, Modified Potato Starch, Spices, Sodium Nitrite.

Nutrition facts:  Serving Size: 2 oz (56g); Servings: 6  Calories: 180 ; Total Fat: 16g (21%); Saturated Fat: 6g (30%); Cholesterol: 40mg (13%); Sodium: 600mg (26%); Total Carbohydrates: 3g (1%); Dietary Fiber: 0g (0%); Sugars: 3g (6%); Protein: 7g ;

The ingredients alone make this food a no-go for me. Whether following a keto diet or a whole foods plant based eating plan…either way, this stuff doesn’t in any way fit my criteria for something I want to be including in my daily calorie consumption.

But if ya’ll want to give it a try…by all means LET ME KNOW what you think down below! I am genuinely interested to hear what people think of this product!

By the way…as far as attribution is concerned…
